Position Summary

If so, then our Sales Coordinator position may just be the opportunity you are looking for! The next Elements Casino Victoria Sales & Catering Coordinator will report to the Regional Manager, Sales & Catering, and is responsible for making connections, building relationships, and coordinating rentals and bookings for the site. As our operations are highly regulated, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures when organizing events must also be kept top of mind. This position is perfect for a self-starter who thrives when working under pressure and will stop at nothing to ensure our clients return again and again for that Rock Star experience!
Key Accountabilities
- Assisting the Sales Manager in responding to rental inquiries
- Arranging venue tours
- Assessing technical needs for rental events
- Up-selling services and rental equipment
- Managing rental agreements
- Ensuring contracts and insurance policies are completed and collected in a timely manner
- Coordinating with Show Theatre Production to ensure technical requirements are met and costs are managed
- Maintaining the events calendar and event order forms
- Managing the Theatre lobby décor
- Responding to any issues that arise
- Communicating effectively with all relevant departments
- Developing strong relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and clients
- Ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Coordinating and communicating with the banquet team for the setup and breakdown of events
- Coordinating with vendors for rentals, such as linens, tables, chairs, and décor
- Communicating with clients to ensure their event needs are met
- Managing and updating banquet event orders, contracts and invoices
- Managing and maintaining banquet event schedules and timelines
- Coordinating with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food service
- Managing and resolving any issues or complaints that arise during events
- Handling post-event evaluations and making recommendations for improvements
- Conducting regular inspections of banquet facilities and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order
- Attend and participate in event planning meetings and the coordination of banquet events
- Completing banquet event orders and reviewing them with the food and beverage department to ensure all details are accurate and coordinated

Education and Qualifications
- Legendary guest service skills with a “Make it Happen” attitude • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests
- A passion for providing GEM and Rockin’ It Service to our external and internal guests in the quest for fulfilling the ultimate service experience
- Respect, Original, Caring, Kickin’ Service, Integrity and No Excuses
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skill
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Extraordinary multi-tasking and communication skills
- Serving It Right certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right certification
- The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances.
