Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Status: Temporary Full-time

Scale/Grade: N4 – $52,806 – $66,027 (based on competencies and experience)

POSITION:

The COORDINATOR, Education & Outreach coordinates professional development workshops led by expert facilitators from the Eating Disorders Ontario: Provincial Prevention Strategy. The primary responsibilities include: coordinating the hosting of the community-based workshops, liaising with the trained workshop facilitators to help prepare the workshop materials including flyers, agendas, presentation material, evaluation forms, liaising with stakeholders who are the recipients of the workshops, coordinating the evaluation of the workshops including data management, assisting with administrative outreach activities; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with EDO to carry out engagement strategy to reach out to, and maintain active relationships with, a large network of community organizations from public health, education, and other youth service organizations.
  • Builds relationships with diverse partners; listens to the needs and perspectives of others to help implement effective professional development programming.
  • Reviews current partnerships and future partnerships to create targeted list of stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and implements communication efforts related to the professional development workshops
  • Creates and maintains materials and other resources for workshop delivery including presentations, fact sheets, and email newsletters, and implements recommendations for improvement.
  • Provides assistance with the planning and hosting of ongoing professional development workshops to professionals throughout the public sector.
  • Coordinates and supports a team of Eating Disorder Prevention Specialists to deliver professional development workshops.
  • Reviews requests for professional development workshops.
  • Coordinates the collection of data from the professional development workshop activities, performs data entry activities, and provides summary analyses of data.
  • Performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At minimum over 2 years (up to including 4 years) practical and related experience and/or 2 years on-the job training required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Canva.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and exercise initiative and good judgement.
  • Strong understanding of weight science, implementation science, community development
