You will use your expertise to:

• Coordinate the work of various contractors to ensure proper execution of planned shutdowns and/or construction projects, while adhering to Suncor’s corporate values, methods and procedures
• Adopt a customer-focused approach, adjust to frequent changes and make quick decisions to meet the needs of Operations
• Collaborate with multiple departments including Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Prevention and Inspection and ensure excellent communication
• Prepare, facilitate or participate in meetings including daily shutdown relief meetings, monthly safety meetings, and multidisciplinary meetings on construction projects
• Supervise maintenance employees during unit shutdowns

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

• Previous experience as a supervisor in a unionized work environment
• Fluent in French (spoken and written), with a working knowledge of English
• A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• Good work organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment for extended periods of time during production downtime
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong team player and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Alignment with our

Preference for:

• Diploma in electricity or instrumentation
• Possess a “C” license
• Knowledge of integrated maintenance software (SAP or similar)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point)

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

• You will work out of our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
• Be available for overtime during production shutdowns
• We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
