You will use your expertise to:
- Coordinate the work of various contractors to ensure proper execution of planned shutdowns and/or construction projects, while adhering to Suncor’s corporate values, methods and procedures
- Adopt a customer-focused approach, adjust to frequent changes and make quick decisions to meet the needs of Operations
- Collaborate with multiple departments including Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Prevention and Inspection and ensure excellent communication
- Prepare, facilitate or participate in meetings including daily shutdown relief meetings, monthly safety meetings, and multidisciplinary meetings on construction projects
- Supervise maintenance employees during unit shutdowns

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
- Previous experience as a supervisor in a unionized work environment
- Fluent in French (spoken and written), with a working knowledge of English
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
- Good work organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment for extended periods of time during production downtime
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong team player and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Alignment with our

Preference for:
- Diploma in electricity or instrumentation
- Possess a “C” license
- Knowledge of integrated maintenance software (SAP or similar)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point)
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
- You will work out of our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Be available for overtime during production shutdowns
- We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
