Job title: Database Developer
Job description: We are looking for a Database Developer for one of our customers, this is a permanent position, $100-120,000 per year.
Your tasks:
- Design, build and develop a data warehouse and data lake.
- Design, build and develop ETL pipelines consolidating continuous and batch data sources into a data warehouse.
- Collaborate with data analysts and software developers to map data fields.
- Ingest, cleanse, manipulate and prepare data for use in artificial intelligence models and other systems.
- Participate in data governance practices (data lifecycle management, data quality management, data cataloging and metadata management).
- Design, code, unit test and integrate new functionalities.
- Develop clean, maintainable code using best practices.
- Create and maintain data sets on Google Cloud Services.
- Identify, design and implement internal process improvements: automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, redesign infrastructure for scalability, performance and availability.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or related fields.
- 5+ years of industry experience as a data engineer.
- Over 5 years’ experience with PostgreSQL.
- Over 5 years industry experience with Google Cloud Services such as Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, deployed with Terragrunt (Terraform).
- Bilingual (French and English)
