WAGE: $13.50 hourly
Reporting to the Director of Nutrition Services, the Dietary Attendant is responsible for serving food, dishwashing, and other related duties. They are also responsible to aid with food preparation under the cook’s direction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Food Safety Training Certificate required
EXPERIENCE
- Food serving experience considered an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must be able to relate, communicate and co-operate effectively with staff, residents, residents’ families, and the public
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and special diet needs of individual residents
- Able to operate kitchen utensils and equipment safely and efficiently
- Able to work in an environment that is subject to temperature change
- Able to tolerate standing and lifting throughout the workday
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
