NAIT’s Premier Dining Room, “Ernest’s” requires part-time casual professional dining room service staff with a flexible schedule to join their team for the upcoming season. If you are an energetic, and enthusiastic service professional, seeking a unique and challenging service opportunity in a distinctly different dining room, this may be the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional customer service, responsible for positive and educational interaction with students, NAIT staff, and guests.
- Candidates must have superior customer service skills and a strong professional image, and the ability to deal with unique challenges in a professional manner.
- Must be able to effectively work in a team environment, effectively work with students and follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Hours of work will include some evenings and weekends and will vary with seasonal business demands.
Skills/Abilities:
Seeking Hospitality professionals who possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a track record in high end dining establishments. Must work accurately and precisely with detailed tasks and adhere to rules, guidelines, and performance standards.
Qualifications:
- Completion of grade nine
- Post-secondary education in the Hospitality field a definite asset
- Must have some experience in a food service, customer service, or hospitality environment; minimum of 2 years Hospitality experience desirable
- Wine, Spirit and Beer knowledge is a functional asset.
- ProServe certification required.
- Food Safety and Sanitation certificate is required & must be obtained before completion of the probationary period
- Alberta Server Intervention Program certificate may be required depending on location/venue assignment
- First Aid certificate may be required depending on location/venue assignment
- Equivalencies may be considered
Remuneration: 15.90$ hourly plus 12% in lieu of stat. holiday and vacation pay. (Classification – Service Worker).
This position is covered by the AUPE Collective Agreement.
