What you’ll be doing…
The IT Division at BC Transit is growing. With such growth comes the need for our newest position: the Director of IT Business Services. This role will oversee a diverse set of teams who support the delivery of technology projects, privacy and information management, and data governance, analysis and reporting.
We are looking for someone that will have holistic oversight of the Division and will readily be able to speak to the complexities of the business as it relates to IT. If successful, you will participate in strategic planning sessions for overall IT direction, oversee the development of BC Transit’s information management governance framework, and focus on bringing agility to the project portfolio.
What you’ll bring to the table…
We love lifelong learners and have found the following mix of education, certifications and experience have led people to be successful in the past:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a combination of relevant education and experience
- 5 – 7 years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT operation
- Proven experience in one or more: IT strategic planning, IT demand management, privacy program development, information management and data governance framework development, project management and policy development
The following are not required but are considered assets:
- A Master’s degree in a related field (technology, business, leadership)
- Certification(s) in project management, risk management, privacy and/or security
