Mandate
We are looking for a client centric sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. You are an excellent communicator, work well both individually and as a team – and are aligned to our purpose; to change lives by propelling more students to, and through, Post-Secondary Education successfully.
Challenges to be Met
- Grow existing client balances to maximize the client’s opportunity to collect grants – helping them achieve their education and savings goals
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Act as a subject matter expert for KFFs digital assets (web/mobile) and increase our customers usage of these digital assets.
- Support Knowledge First’s origination targets leveraging existing prospecting tactics
- Convert leads to sales and achieve key performance metrics
- Maintain and expand a database of prospects, teaming with partners to build the pipeline and close deals
- Engage with clients using a variety of different mediums (telephone, teleconference)
- Contribute to the overall growth of the firm by growing both our client base and assets under management.
- Deliver a differentiated client experience using a disciplined approach following Knowledge Firsts sales management process
- Understand and apply business operating procedures and ensure necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Grow existing client balances and deliver overall year-over-year growth through a combination of customer retention initiatives and new customer opportunity development and sales closure.
- Respond to the client’s evolving needs which may include (but not limited to), introducing the use of digital tools, opening new plans, increasing a client’s savings goals
- Implement proactive initiatives such as save campaigns or consolidation focuses and other initiatives approved by the business.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company market conditions and leverage company advantages to build effective solutions.
- Development and closing of potential client opportunities.
- Conducts outbound calling campaigns to support lead generation .
- Follows up and closes inbound inquires from the Knowledge First website, marketing campaigns, channel partners & direct call-ins
- Be knowledgeable and comply with the company and industry Code of Conduct
- Contribute to operational improvements to streamline procedures/processes and enhance the client experience
- Actively participate in the performance management process in support of personal and professional development objectives, including coaching sessions
- Contribute to a fair and positive working environment that supports a diverse workforce
- Participate in team meetings, employee surveys and action planning sessions
- Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the performance and completion of assigned duties

Who we are looking for:
- Proven inside sales experience with a track record of over-achieving targets
- Strong phone presence and experience with inbound and outbound calling
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Experience working with a CRM
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills and Strong listening/presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Thrives in a quick sales cycle environment.
- Knowledge of financial products and services
- Relationship management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Agility – as the team, mandate and expectations evolve, so will you.
- Licensed through your local provincial authority and recognized by the RESP Dealers Association of Canada.
- IFIC or CSC would be considered an asset
- Bilingualism (French, Mandarin, Cantonese) would be considered an asset
Work Model
We have adopted a hybrid model, leveraging the best of remote and in-person work.
