As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive environment which promotes personal and professional growth. PCL students will have the chance to work on some of the most exciting projects currently underway in the BC Region. You will be given similar responsibilities as a full-time, entry level Field Engineer, so you can experience what a career will be like in project management, field supervision, pre-construction and estimating.

Here’s how an Engineering Student for our BC Region office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate trade scopes of work as an important part of the team from your first day on the job.
• Get the chance to be part of something bigger by working closely with seasoned project professionals.
• Participate in project meetings as part of a passionate team of professionals who build impressive things together.
• Be responsible for performing bid day assignments and overall bid document control. Everyone at PCL takes ownership and that includes students.

Qualifications

• A strong desire to work in a construction environment. Prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
