Location: Scarborough, ON
Job Type: Full-time (2 days in office)
Our client, a leading energy distribution company, is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant to join their team in their Scarborough office. You will consult with business unit, develop and execute EHS programs, and ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct thorough health and safety inspections across different environments
– Analyze data and provide comprehensive reports and recommendations for EHS improvement
– Manage client assignments and collaborate with internal and external resources
– Develop, implement, and monitor effective EHS systems, programs, and procedures
– Assist in return-to-work activities and liaise with regulatory bodies
– Oversee environmental management programs and deliver training programs on various EHS topics
– Provide after-hours standby support on a rotational basis
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
– At least 5 years of progressive experience in EHS or industrial hygiene
– Experience with audits, enforcing, risk assessment, managing high capital spend and incident investigation
– Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation
– Required knowledge of Management system – ISO 45000, 14001
– Post graduate certificate/diploma in Environment, Health and Safety is an asset
– Valid G driver’s license, comfortable with site visits
