Job description: ESFM is the corporate Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) division of Compass Group Canada operating in the business & industry sector. Job Summary
Now, if you were to come on board as our Facilities Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Manage the delivery of all hard and soft services operations at our client site
- Manage direct reports by providing technical guidance, leadership, motivation, and support to team members including supervisors, coordinators, skilled and semi-skilled workers
- Develop and implement work schedules for all subordinates to ensure proper workload and coverage of site requirements with respect to client operations
- Lead Joint Health and Safety Committee as management leader
- Promote compliance and application of QHSE and other federal, provincial, and municipal laws, codes, and regulations
- Oversee the onboarding of all new hires and implementation of required trainings
- Facilitate the procurement and training of third-party suppliers and implementation of a performance monitoring and evaluation reporting model
- Provide technical and administrative support to client capital asset and infrastructure project development and delivery
- Manage budgetary needs, monitor expenditures and take corrective action when needed
- Provide monthly reporting of all service deliverables key performance metrics
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationship with client, staff, and vendors
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Operations Manager
Think you have what it takes to be our Facilities Manager? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role. You have:
- University degree (preferably in engineering or facilities management) or an equivalent degree/college diploma or a Power Engineer license
- 5+ years progressive maintenance and operations experience in commercial, institutional, and manufacturing facilities. Food/pharmaceutical/cosmetics manufacturing plant facilities experience is preferred
- Advance facilities technical knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budgeting processes
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in CAFM/CMMS systems (for asset management and PM programs) and ability to read blueprints and interpret design drawings/schematics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including advanced user skills in Microsoft Office package
