Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your accounting career? We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Support Team in Barrie, ON for an 18 month term (however, please note that this position would currently be remote due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic).

The career you want:

  • You’re analytical: you’ll prepare detailed analysis for business and/or system improvements and special projects.
  • You’re a self-starter: you’ll be responsible for taking initiative on assigned deliverables.

You’ll handle:

  • Detailed financial analysis, providing relevant value-added reporting, results tracking , compliance reporting and program effectiveness measurements
  • Working in cross functional teams or individually to implement business improvements, system and/or process changes
  • Assisting in project related business development and analysis to support new corporate and accounting initiatives.
  • Preparing and analyzing Associate commission files to ensure accuracy of results.
  • Responding to, investigating and resolving incoming issues from Corporate and Dealer store inquiries and Supporting Gift Card initiatives in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conducting accounting activities including monthly/quarterly account reconciliations, posting general ledger entries (primarily related to wireless and home residential services transactions / accounting), month end activities and associate payroll compensation processing.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance focused environment
  • Working toward accounting designation, an asset.
  • Strong analytical, time management, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple deliverables and reprioritize when faced with competing deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills, capable of performing Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Complex formulas, Macros
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills with an effective ability to deal with individuals at all levels when required
