Job description: Shannex is seeking a Finance Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join their team based in Halifax, NS. Reporting to the Director, Business Systems Analysis, the Finance BSA will offer service excellence to customers with respect to a sophisticated suite of Finance related software, including Great Plains and Voyager, P2P as part of the Yardi Senior Living ERP. They will also administrate system integrity, quality improvement plans and proactively advancing the use and features of the accounting software. As the Finance BSA, you will be responsible for supporting our business leaders and subject matter experts through the adoption of meaningful and value-add technology solutions, analytical reports and conducting analysis to assist decision making.

Who You Are…

You have a post secondary degree in computer science or business with a major in information science. You will have a minimum of 2 years technical accounting experience concentrating in the areas of financial customer support and training. You will also have at least 2 years experience in a technical role involving analytical research and data analysis. By nature, you are a methodical, detail-oriented individual who is an exceptional problem solver and an effective communicator. You enjoy being part of a team and working collaboratively to achieve results. Having previous experience in process development and work flows, as well as, healthcare or a health-related industry would be considered to be an asset.

Our Expectations of You…

• Be the systems administrator of finance related software including the administration of future changes to the suite of software
• Provide an independent review of the functionality and workflow of the current accounting systems
• Analyze data from systems to identify risks, trends, and opportunities where the systems can add further value to the organization, through functional changes, integration, reporting/decision support or user support
• Assist with all projects from inception to completion ensuring plans are implemented with clear attention to detail and following up/supporting/evaluating project outcomes
• Promote and ensure security compliance with legislation, contracts, and company policies across the organization
• Create security protocol where needed to protect Shannex against risk
• Support the development and delivery of webinars, systems solutions meetings, and user education
• Troubleshoot user application issues and provide comprehensive follow through and solutions
• Conduct various system configuration changes/set up and implement new process within applications based on research and testing
