Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Sous-Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise and coach colleagues in absence of Sous-Chefs and Chefs de Partie. Deputize for Chef de Partie
- Communicate with external and internal guests alike to plan and execute special requests
- Organize, execute and ensure completion to standard from mise en place to finished products for either BEO or outlet orders
- Ensure quality standards and health and safety standards are met and followed by colleagues as well as all Hotel policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a 2nd cook in all aspects of high volume à la carte and banquet environment
- Experience in fast-paced banquet kitchen and restaurant is required
- Red Seal certification or equivalent required
- Able to work calmly and in high-pressure situations
- Project a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills
Additional Information
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
