Our expectations
Under the supervision of the Department Manager, the functional analyst is part of the development team for a specific business area. The functional analyst work in Agile mode and may also work in a matrix structure to carry out change requests in another evolution team or to carry out projects in a project team. His or her main mandate is to perform functional analyses according to the needs of internal clients while liaising with them and to produce functional and integrated tests. The Analyst works closely with the developers assigned to change requests or projects.
Your role
Assist the Product Manager
Produce and update functional analysis documents
Make recommendations that take into consideration business requirements, architecture, existing applications, and costs as well as their impact on processes
Help evaluate the amount of time required for development
Assist programmers during the realization phase
Prepare and execute functional and integrated tests, and support acceptance tests
Be responsible for the implementation of the applications
Maintain application procedures and documents
Follow the methodology and standards of the Project Management Office
Ensure follow-up during the post-implementation period
The qualifications we are looking for
University or college degree in computer science or equivalent
Ten (10) years of experience in the development of application systems, including five (5) years of analysis experience
Experience in merchandising and retail
Ability to learn new systems independently
Strong analytical and summarizing skills
Ability to share knowledge and expertise in readily understandable terms
Ability to easily adapt to change
Good listening skills
Organizational skills, service-based approach, and concern for quality
Leadership and team spirit
Verbal and written bilingualism (French and English)
Practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
