Pay:

• Starting from $17/hour, increase dependent upon experience

Schedule: two shifts available * Monday – Friday, 5:00AM-2:00PM (1 hour break)

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00AM-6:00PM (1 hour break)

Location:

• Vernon, BC
• Reliable transportation will be needed

Dress code:

• Warm & comfortable attire as it will be a refrigerated environment
• Steel toe shoes or safety boots are a must
• Please wear your own cloth or disposable mask
• No jewelry or phones allowed on the production floor (a locker can be provided if needed)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the production and packaging of food products
• Responsible for the initial washing, sorting and packing of food products
• Opening and distributing raw material from cases and plastic boxes
• Fill bins for cleaning and preparation for packing
• Distribute packaging boxes on the various production/packaging lines
• Conduct quality control on all products
• Pack cardboard boxes with food products for shipping
• Prepare and identify the pallets at the locations intended for shipment
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma is an asset
• Relevant experience in a production, manufacturing environment is an asset
• Ability to work in a 3°C environment with allergens present (dairy, nuts, wheat etc.)
• Ability to work standing in a refrigerated and humid environment completing repetitive work
• Ability to lift loads up to 50 Ibs (some workstations), push heavy loads and climb stairs repeatedly
• Possess a full range of movement (lifting, twisting, bending, reaching)
• Ability to read, speak and understand English, to communicate well with supervisors and co-workers
• Be able to visually inspect product, packaging and labels for quality and correctness
