Job description: Fulltime or Part-time
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, our Truck/Trailer Mechanics are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our fleet of transport trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
Were looking for a skilled Person to support our repair shop with the ability to work independently and as part of our great team.
Wage: $25.00 – $30.00 / Hour depending on experience and capabilities
About the position: Interpreting work orders and technical manuals Performing scheduled preventative maintenance services Diagnosing faults or malfunctions Adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on truck and trailers Operating oxy-acetylene torches or perform minor welding repairs (Non-code work) Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers specifications and legislated regulations Maintaining a safe and clean work area
What you bring: Apprentice or Journeyman Mechanic is an asset Previous experience considered to be an asset Experience in welding would be considered an asset Class 1 license an asset Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends
