Line Operator, Afternoon (B) Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in Tier 1 Meetings
• Participate in JTE & TPM initiatives
• Assist in resolving issues and escalate issues which cannot be resolved
• Help meet changeover standards and completing HACCP Checklists
• Follow processes as per procedures
• Perform all duties as a Line Operator/ Supply
• Make CI suggestions for line improvements
• Assist in training new employees as per Job Manual, and coach job skills when necessary.
• Flexible to work overtime, pre-shift, alternate shift, and weekends when needed.
• Other assignments as required

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• OSSD diploma or equivalent, and successful passing of basic qualification testing, including Mechanical where required
• Additional Education in a related field would be an asset
• Ability to upgrade current skill set through available internal and external educational opportunities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60lbs
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead a team to work safely, produce quality products, and achieve PR goals.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to substitute into different positions within the Packaging Department, as required.
• Ability to obtain Forklift certification required
• Knowledge of SAP
