Currently, our Information Technology department is currently hiring for an IT Manager, End User Computing and Cloud Services. Reporting to the Director, Applications and Solutions, you will lead a team of analysts and supplier partners responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of the company’s end user computing landscape and Azure cloud platform solutions.

This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.

What will you be responsible for?

Reporting to the Director, Applications and Solutions, you will lead a team of analysts and supplier partners responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of the company’s end user computing landscape and Azure cloud platform solutions. This key position will exercise your skills in process management and user enablement, as well as your technical expertise. Technical subject matter will cover a range of Microsoft and related technologies.

Establish and maintain operational excellence for the EUC and Application technologies that support Bruce Power:

Windows (Imaging, Group Policy, Application Packaging)

O365 and Office clients

M365 License management and allocation (F3, E5)

Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, Teams

InTune, Autopilot, SCCM, Endpoint Manager

Moblie Device Management (iOS)

Azure Landing Zone and related Azure Tenant capabilities

Power Platform, Power Apps, Power BI

Windows 365

Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the EUC and Cloud Platforms operations team.

Develop and implement standards, procedures and processes for the operations group.

Plan and manage the support of new technologies.

Provide input and recommendations regarding business continuity. Execute regular DR testing.

Continuously improve the operations of systems and supporting processes through the use of LEAN techniques and ITIL principles.

Proactively research and champion courses of action to resolve / prevent problem.

Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for EUC and Microsoft technologies.

Provide project leadership and support in implementing new technology.

Knowledge and Skills:

Proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with both internal and external contacts at all levels is key.

Excellent organization, planning, time management and project management abilities.

Proven ability to meet deadlines with grace under pressure.

Proven leadership and managerial skills.

Excellent knowledge of English – oral and written, necessary to provide effective instructions, technical advice, presentations and preparation of various types of reports pertinent to work performed.

Strong user focus.

Understanding of a broad set of IT Technologies.

Education and Experience

This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through a 4-year Bachelors Degree in a related field.

This experience is considered to be normally acquired with 8+ years in a technology leadership role.
