Inside Sales Representative
(12-month Contract)
Overall Responsibility:
- Manage a group of customer accounts within a market segment by supporting a broad range of customer service needs in support of department goals.
- Collaborate with various departments within the company, communicate with various levels of management and work towards developing and maintaining good customer relations.
Accountabilities:
- Solicit and accept orders to meet a sales plan or forecast as directed by management. Provide feedback where the plan cannot be met.
- Book orders into our order entry system in a timely fashion. Validate orders against customer purchase orders to ensure correct price, dimensions, specifications, etc. Appeal delivery dates as required.
- Monitor customer inventory levels and take appropriate actions.
- Monitor customer shipping performance and communicate need for elevated actions internally and externally as required.
- Proactively identify and effectively address all customer needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding price, delivery and capability.
- Exchange information and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer order issues.
- Gather, document and communicate relevant customer business issues (competitive information, market intelligence, pricing, threats & opportunities).
- Provide Commercial expertise to cross-functional teams as required.
- Maintain and update training/desk reference documentation.
- Support the induction process and On Job Training (OJT) for new ISRs.
Education & Accreditation:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with up to 3 years of job-related experience is required.
- University Degree in Business is an asset.
Knowledge:
- General knowledge of business drivers and fundamentals is required.
- General knowledge of company’s operations, products and processes is required.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Bilingual (English / French) in both verbal and written forms is considered an asset
- Very good negotiating skills are required.
- Intermediate personal computer, standard corporate software applications and applicable systems skills are required.
- Must be a team player.
Work Environment:
- Office environment.
- This position is currently eligible for remote work due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the future, this position may be eligible to work remote on an ad hoc or part time basis.
Hours of Work:
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads.
