Job Description: The Treasury Payment LOB is looking for an Intermediate Project Manager to oversee numerous IT projects in the Payments and FI realm. This PM will assist in multiple large and small scale projects which include application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. These projects will have an area of focus within real-time payments including but not limited to: interact, TCH Clearing House, Oracle upgrades, Currency projects, Swift Payment upgrades etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering assigned projects, including all business, operational and IT deliverables.
  • Manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix business, corporate and IT partners to oversee all phases of the project, and to ensure that related project processes are completed as required (including, as applicable, change management, process management, transition to business/operations, system development, quality management, etc.).
  • Has end-to-end accountability for the successful completion of the program/project.
  • Directs and coordinates team members in creation of program/project deliverables.
  • Possesses an understanding of multiple LOBs and directs sub-project managers, business and technology resources, user groups, internal and external consultants, and contractors and vendors.
  • Creates and owns the plan consisting of staffing, budgets, roles and responsibilities, assumptions, dates, deliverables, metrics and reporting.
  • Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, and professional development for project teams in order to obtain a high level of co-operation and contribution from all project members.
  • Ensures results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit, and oversees governance controls to ensure that projects/programs meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards and conforms to appropriate methodology. – Identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e. risk related to technology, change management, procurement, business process management, requirements management).
  • Reports administrative and financial metrics back to Business Sponsors and related stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Identifies opportunities to strengthen the capability at the client, such as: sharing expertise to promote technical development, mentoring employees, building communities of practice and networks across technology.
  • Establishes effective project or program oversight and other governance bodies, and engages the appropriate stakeholders to support the direction of the project or program and enable superior customer experience.
  • Possesses change management skills, including identifying people, processes, and technology implications to various end users / stakeholders and designing the change and implementation plan.
  • Identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e. risk related to technology, change management, procurement, business process management, requirements management).

Must Have Skills:

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience leading technology, infrastructure and/or application development projects
  • 3+ years managing Payment projects (ie. Swift payments, ISO, Currency, Real-Time Payments, Commercial Banking, Treasury Payments etc.)
  • In depth Stakeholder Management experience with experience managing projects with budgets over $2M in size
  • Experience using PM Methodologies and Tools (ie. SharePoint, MS Project, Clarity, SDLC etc.)

Must Have Skills:

  • PMP certification is an asset

Interview Process:
2 rounds of interviews – 1st will be a 45 minute interview with hiring manager, 2nd with stakeholders on MS Teams
Specialization and Skills: Project Management Project Manager – IT 5 – 7 years
