Framatome is seeking a EHS & Human Performance Intern for our office in Pickering, Ontario. This role is responsible for supporting the EHS & Human Performance program. They will provide assistance to Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental administrative oversight at Framatome Canada office/warehouse. They will be a member of the EHS and Human Performance Department reporting to the EHS and Human Performance Manager.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support project specific conventional safety and environmental management plans and procedures including; inspections, audits, observation and coaching
- Ergonomic Assessments for knowledge workers
- Assist in tracking safety and human performance program related statistics.
- Assist in development of Human Performance communications
- Assist in supporting the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Ensure workplace hazards are identified and effective mitigation strategies are developed and implemented using hierarchy of controls methodology.
- Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvements to the Framatome Health & Safety / Human Performance program.
- Ensure workplace hazards are identified and effective mitigation strategies are developed and implemented.
- Assist in office coverage to greet, screen and support visitors related to EHS & Human Performance.
- This role may accommodate part-time working hours.

- 2nd student in an accredited post secondary Health/Safety program.

- Strong technical problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

- A basic knowledge of Provincial OHS Legislation including construction and industrial regulations.
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Occupational Health / Safety / Human Performance (Human Factors).

- Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office365 & Teams to develop reports or presentations as required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and positively influence behavior.
