ABOUT THE ROLE
TransAlta is seeking an experienced Executive IT Support Analyst to join our Information Technology team to provide white glove technical support to our Senior Leaders and special events.
As the primary IT resource for our Senior Executives (C-level), this individual is responsible the functionality of all IT equipment and services used by the Senior Executives. This person must think strategically, anticipating problems that the Executives may encounter and addressing them proactively. Providing prompt, confidential and reliable technical hardware and software support for executive’s laptops and mobile devices will be needed along with providing support for executive video conferencing, audio/video events and town halls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the IT Analyst, Executive Support, your primary and secondary responsibilites are as follows:
Primary
Foster and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Executive Assistants to plan and coordinate IT activities that enables senior leader work activities
Assist with installs, configures, troubleshooting and syncing mobile devices, laptops, desktop, and network connectivity with executives and assistants on current and future IT applications and devices
Provides technical support and testing for smooth execution of department/company wide meetings, events, and conferences, on and off-site
Communicate and translate technical verbiage into business-friendly language
Evaluate and recommend conference related hardware/software solutions
Assists with managing and developing technology knowledge-base documentation
Research and test interoperability of new software/hardware products against existing solutions
Utilizes incident management system to receive, track, escalate and close support requests
Follow IT Governance such as Change Management (ITIL) using the ServiceNow platform
Where required, assist End User Support Lead in creating timelines and tasks with measurable goals and KPI’s
Always maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
Secondary
Provide support and assistance to the corporate and remote site deskside team and End User Services Leader in a variety of Systems administration, maintenance, and analysis
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for the following must have qualifications and experience:
5 years’ experience working in support of desk side services, experience supporting C-level executives and their assistants
Valid class 5 drivers license
Must have excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate with all management levels, specifically to identify risks and proactively provide solutions
Excellent technical knowledge of MS Office 2016, Office 365 and M365 toolset
Excellent technical knowledge with Windows 10 OS, Desktop/Laptops, Apple iOS and Devices (iPhone, Tablets)
Strong understanding of ServiceNow IT Operations Management and IT Service Management modules. Experience with ServiceNow IT Asset Management would be a plus.
Highly motivated, detail orientated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to react to high pressure and dynamic, changing environments
Demonstrates discipline of company guidelines, processes, best practices, and procedures
Must be proactive and take ownership of solving issues while managing priorities and escalations
Ability to multi-task, manage time and follow through with assignments
