Job description: POSITION
Champlain Regional College is seeking the services of an IT ANALYST – PROJECT MANAGER to fill a 12 months contractual full-time position in the Information Technology Service at Champlain Regional College (College Administration).

FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Coordinator of Information Technology the incumbent will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and an experienced IT project manager with a track record of leading the full life cycle of projects. You will be working collaboratively with our regionally distributed teams. You will be responsible for the successful implementation of our cloud transformation projects. Projects will vary in scale and complexity and will focus on all aspects of cloud migration from “discovery and assessment” to “migration delivery” and “cutover”. You have a track record of delivering cloud-based projects on time, working closely with internal teams, as well as fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. You will understand the adoption challenges in migrating on premise infrastructure and application portfolios and will be able to bridge the gaps during the migration process.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead internally the full lifecycle of cloud migration projects.
2. Manage projects with little oversight.
3. Facilitate the identification and proactive management of risks.
4. Facilitate discussions, decision making and conflict resolution processes.
5. Ensure proactive and effective overall project communication at various levels.
6. Work as part of a team with other internal professionals.
7. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure all dependencies and impediments are understood, communicated, and managed appropriately.
8. Document the processes and maintain the information contained in the various organizational systems.
9. Provide feedback to technical teams leads on the project.
10. Advise and support management personnel.
11. Perform all other duties inherent to the position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Must possess an undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization, in particular Computer Science, Computer Engineering or, Business Management.

Experience

  • Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of cloud technologies and/or understanding of cloud migration project approaches and best practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in project management methodology, frameworks, best practices, and tools.
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Visio).

Requirement
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate in English and French, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
  • Any technical or PMP certifications are an asset.

WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

REQUIRED TESTS: Candidates will be required to pass language tests and knowledge tests.
