The Intermediate Cross-Functional BA will assist in the implementation of various new systems and projects. The incumbent will work closely with the different business units, internal IT team and external service providers to help deliver system solutions and Business processes that enable the organization to introduce new products, improve efficiencies, improve customer experience and accelerate the success of the organization as a leading provider in the digital media landscape. The incumbent may also lead small projects from original concept through final implementation while Interfacing with all areas affected by the project. In this role, knowledge of the system development life cycle, a quick understanding of business issues and data challenges, analytical, problem solving, group facilitation, strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:

- Liaise with senior project stakeholders, business representatives/product owners, change management and IT project team members
- Understand the strategic goals of the business as a whole and support initiatives to meet those goals at the enterprise level

- Interact with business representatives to understand business unit goals, and to understand current target business rules

- Identify business requirements, assess and analyze the requirements and Business Processes to ensure that they meet the strategic goals of the business, and to assess the feasibility of meeting the requirements, and identify in scope vs. out of scope elements

- Manage prjects in accordance to SDLC framework for gate, deliverables, and change management.

- Support project deployments to business end users, including guidance with User Acceptance Testing, guidance with creation of Training Material, providing support during Training, and trouble-shooting during Post-Deployment
What do you need to be an IT Business Analyst at Yellow Pages?
Qualifications:
- A University degree or comparable education (Computer/Information Science and/or related experience)
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis and related roles and 1+ years expereince managing software development projects
- Solid understanding of Waterfall, Agile and hybrid project methodologies
- Good business analysis skills
- Good knowledge of process modeling & Continuous Improvement techniques
- CBAP certification an asset

- Ability to learn new domains and new technologies
- Ability to explain and contextualize business concepts for technical audiences
- Ability to simplify and explain technical concepts for business audiences
- Good client-facing communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong ability to quickly adapt
- Ability to learn quickly and function as a positive and creative member of a large project team
- Strong business writing skills
- Excellent ability in English (written and spoken)
- Fluency in French is an asset
- Some travel may be required
