Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for an IT MES Analyst in our Windsor, Ontario Facility. for ensuring that the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) works properly, participating in project tasks, documenting appropriately, and communicating with CCTS Divisions. The MES ANALYST will provide day to day support, problem solving, and ongoing enhancements to continuously improve the MES landscape. Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in manufacturing solutions projects.
- Accountable for MES / IT support for production to all plants including off hours / weekend support issues.
- Responsible for administration and troubleshooting of MES applications, equipment, and systems.
- Must Work with local IT support to set up and maintain equipment required for the MES systems.
- Provide analysis, feedback and recommendations for MES related solutions, design, direction, development, and enhancements to MES related systems and manufacturing processes.
- Accountable for successful deployment of MES solutions, application testing, debugging, commissioning of equipment, supporting documentation, training, and other MES requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to establish and deliver MES requirements for program launches.
- Provides monthly metrics related to MES applications, support, performance and connected systems and projects.
- Develop, create, and maintain standard MES related documentation, reports, and dashboards.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
- Collaborate with business sponsors to document business requirements.
- Continuous improvement of MES solutions and processes
- Collaborate with the user community to gather, confirm, and document user requirements.
- Analyze and assess business processes to identify efficiencies.
- Train end users to operate new or modified MES applications.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform MES improvements and upgrades with stakeholders as needed.
- 20 to 30 percent required Travelling to other CCTS facilities.
- Required to travel abroad as needed.
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in MES and or IT Systems.
- Must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Environments
- Preference given to those with label / barcode printer and scanner experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience dealing with at least one Tier-1 automotive manufacturer.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite Products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Funnel Cloud MES system an asset.
- Computer Hardware Certification (CompTIA Network+ and Server+) or equivalent
- Preference to candidates with MS SQL Certifications
- Additional IT Certifications (Networking, Cisco, MCITP) a plus
- Basic understanding and knowledgeable of PLC communications
- Preference to candidates with ERP, Kepware, Systems Experience
