Responsibilities
Accountability
- Supports the IT Network Communication Manager and team.
- Monitor and managing UHF – VHF radios and systems.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the BCN backbone communication network infrastructure and facilities.
- Evaluate, install, and test network components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Assist in implementing, optimizing, and securing IT network including IT and OT equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; IT Platforms – Cloud, ServiceDesk and Cybersecurity to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
Responsibility
- Implementing, installing and maintaining computer networks, connections, and cabling.
- Analyzing network performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of the IT and OT network, including network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and latency.
- Providing network support: Respond to network-related issues and troubleshoot connectivity problems. Collaborate with partners and key stakeholders to resolve network issues promptly and effectively.
- Configuring network hardware and software: Set up and configure network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Install and maintain network operating systems, protocols, and security measures.
- Collaborating with vendors: Work with vendors to research emerging technologies and evaluate network solutions.
- Maintaining network documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders: Collaborate with internal departments, such as IT teams, business units, and management, to understand their network requirements and provide appropriate network solutions.

Qualifications
Experience
- Experience with UHF – VHF radio and systems.
- Experience setting up LAN and WAN networks, as well as VoIP.
- 3+ years of experience working in IT network operations.
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, LAN, and Wi-Fi.
- Knowledge of IT network equipment and security.
- Experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems such as Cisco Meraki and Fortinet.
- Experience with SCADA systems and their integration into IT networks.
- Understanding of Lean and Agile methodology principles and management.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of Rail Signaling and Communication Systems.
- Railway IT experience is a plus.
Competencies & Skills
- Experience with Kenwood and Motorola radios.
- Industry-specific certifications related to UHF VHF radios and related equipment.
- Proven experience as an IT Network Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
- Good knowledge of project management principles
- Experienced in working in intercultural environments and large complex projects.
- Knowledge on application development processes including thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL) being a plus.
- Fluency in English.
