As an IT Operations Coordinator, you will be a key strategic partner within the IT department, coordinating various operational activities. Collaborate with other IT Operations members for the lifecycle of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses, to ensure efficient utilization and compliance with organizational policies. You will assist in budgeting, cost tracking, financial analysis, contract management to ensure efficient allocation of resources and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide regular financial reports to the Senior IT Director, and stakeholders by collaborating with the FP&A team. These reports should include the breakdown of IT expenses, budget vs. actual spending, and explanations for any significant deviations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to create the IT department’s annual budget. This involves estimating costs for hardware, software, licenses, maintenance, and other IT-related expenses.
- Ensure that the IT department operates within the approved budgetary limits and aligns spending decisions with the organization’s financial goals.
- Assist the Operations Manager & FP&A team in forecasting future IT expenses based on growth projections, upcoming projects, and technology trends.
- Oversee the proper deployment and configuration of IT assets to end-users, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and software for their roles.
- Implement tracking systems to monitor the location, status, and condition of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Identifying opportunities to optimize IT expenses without compromising the quality and effectiveness of IT services. This may involve consolidating services, or identifying areas of unnecessary spending.
- Generate regular reports on asset utilization, inventory status, and compliance metrics for the IT managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate information technology training activities, in collaboration with the technical team of the IT department
- Plan and execute the proper disposal or recycling of outdated or non-functional IT assets in compliance with environmental regulations and data security policies.

What you need to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Some experience in IT operations, IT finance, or a similar strategic advisory role.
- Some experience in IT asset management or a related role.
- Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and licensing is a plus.
- Familiarity with IT procurement processes & vendor management.
- Experience with IT asset management software and tools is a plus.
- Good Excel skills and experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
