Job title: IT Operator (level 2)

Job description: The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the availability of the server room’s applications, IT equipment and infrastructure. Work can be done on a rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that no software or hardware service interruptions occur by repairing and resolving production problems encountered in the course of their duties;
• Complete the shift activity log for the various production schedules;
• Process requests for the addition, modification and change of production schedules or any other requests that may affect the content of the production log;
• Act as technical advisor on behalf of CSI (Customer Service IT ) outside normal business hours;
• Correct any errors found, make the necessary adjustments to the normal conduct of operations and implement appropriate recovery procedures;
• In the event of problems requiring the intervention of the support team, notify the designated official and follow up;
• Produce, for internal dissemination, daily and weekly reports providing information on production activities and the availability of infrastructure and applications;
• Produce and maintain detailed documentation of production procedures in accordance with established standards;
• Works on rotating shifts.

Requirements

• DEC in computer science or relevant training;
• Between 2 and 5 years in production environments;
• Knowledge of bundled interfaces, Networker;
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix Solaris operating environments;
• Knowledge of Windows 7, 10 and MS Office Suite, preferable;
• Knowledge of AIMS, BDO, SAP
• Good analytical skills;
• Knowledge of the aerial domain, an asset;
• Composure, rigor, tact, sense of customer service, autonomy, and resourcefulness.
