Job Specifications:

Title: IT Platform Support Specialist

Reports to: IT and Systems Director

Location: Primarily remote, occasionally working at our main office (1179 King St W, Toronto, ON, M6K 3C5) or a regional office as required

Wage: TBD

Hours: 37.5hrs per week (1.0 FTE)

Duration: Full-Time, Contract (Independent Contractor)

Position Overview

Autism Ontario is looking for an experienced Independent IT Contractor. Reporting to the IT and Systems Director, the IT Platform Support Specialist will play an integral role in transforming Autism Ontario’s digital presence, working closely with the IT and Communication teams. The IT Platform Support Specialist acts as an integral member of the IT team, providing IT support, application support, and training to users. The incumbent will be responsible for the identification, management, and support of platform related issues, modifications, and enhancements. They will work closely with vendors and internal teams to effectively support end users of the platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the IT and Systems Director and any external vendors, oversee all elements and functions of Autism Ontario’s IT platforms.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure completed technology change requests match the vision of the organization.
  • Work with members of the IT/Development team and vendors to resolve platform related issues.
  • Assist with identifying the root cause of platform and related problems; manages and resolves issues in a constantly changing environment.
  • Web platform support: answer support client calls, emails, or online chat regarding website troubleshooting, site updates, plugin updates, server or hosting issues, email creation, etc.
  • Navigating and troubleshooting online web development platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, etc.
  • Navigating and troubleshooting CRM’s such as MS Dynamics and Salesforce.
  • Assist with the delivery of platform program curricula evaluation and end user evaluation.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in IT, technology, software application development or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team player.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, Dynamics, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience with Five9 and C3X is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to identify opportunities and engage in data driven

decision making and change management.

  • Displays ability to navigate through complex relationships, information

and issues and find solutions.

  • Demonstrated commitment to principles of social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence.
  • Proven, strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability with an excellent attendance record.

  • Reliable and flexible individual to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Up to date vulnerable sector check
  • Proof of vaccination or proof of exemption
