Here’s how an IT Project Manager for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Executes solution delivery practices and procedures within assigned initiatives.
  • Plans and schedules solution milestones within the project plan.
  • Establishes and sustains solution delivery practices and processes within assigned initiatives.
  • Develops initiative quality standards with sponsors and Business Technology management.
  • Develops and maintains risk mitigation and contingency plans within assigned initiatives.
  • Leads, analyzes, and reports on solution delivery performance: progress, schedule, and budget.
  • Leads project and project team performance.
  • Holds project team accountable for their performance and deliverables on initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in an Information Technology program from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of IT project management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and present ideas and content that contribute to the corporate strategy.
  • Experience in IT project management and execution of the project management practices necessary to take a solution-delivery project from initiation to closure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and solutions simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage projects using Agile, Waterfall, and mixed Software Development Lifecycles (SDLCs).
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work and delegate tasks.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team by collaborating to solve complex problems.
  • A strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with employees at all levels and areas of the organization.
  • Be results-oriented and have project management experience.
