Job title: IT Services Systems Integrator

Job description: Alteo is looking for a IT Services Systems Integrator for a permanent position based in Montreal.

***Hybrid work environment (office & remote)***

Responsibilities:

– Troubleshoot equipment in test environments (servers, switches, routers) and the office (laptops) to isolate problems.
– Create necessary documentation and help train new users with the handling of equipment. This includes providing problem-solving steps (for technically-savvy individuals as well as for people with limited or no technical knowledge).
– Help maintain stock of required spare parts, tools, etc.
– Help maintain asset and DCIM (Data Center Information Management) database.
– Physical installation of hardware in test environments and the office, including all power and Ethernet cabling.
– Hardware maintenance (minor repairs and upgrades of equipment).
– Configure and integrate different nodes and solutions.
– Troubleshoot network and system issues.
– Support system integration and verification of internally developed components and third-party products.

Profile:

– Imaginative, motivated, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
– Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
– Troubleshooting skills – must be good at identifying issues by analyzing the situation and then resolving the problem.
– Listening skills – IT Services personnel need to understand the problems their customers are explaining to them.
– Great customer service skills – ability to help people who are often frustrated with the software or hardware they are trying to use.
– Ability to perform physical duties such as : climbing ladders, crouching, kneeling and lifting heavy objects since the job involves some hardware manipulation.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Bilingual (English a must and functional French).
