Job title: IT Support Technician

Job description: Our industry-leading client based just 30 minutes west of Kanata is looking for an IT Support Technician for an on-site, 4-to-6 month contract. If you thrive on small teams and are looking for and opportunity to fine-tune your support skills, this could be the opportunity for you!

Here are some of the items that you’ll bring to the table for this role:

Responsibilities
– Responding to helpdesk calls and emails
– Analyzing and resolving hardware and software problems
– Hardware configuration, setup and maintenance of desktop, laptops, printers and other network devices
– Install Operating systems and configure PC’s according to company policies and standards as required
– Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
– Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at site and (to a lesser degree) remotely
– Provide backup to support the IT Administrator as required

Qualifications
– Post-secondary education in a related field
– Knowledge of Windows Desktop environment (Windows 7/10)
– Knowledge of Office 2016/Office365
– Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
– Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required
– Knowledge of other applications an asset (SAP, LIMS systems, etc.)
– Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, maintenance an asset
– Network and server systems administration an asset
