Our client has experienced significant growth in their portfolio over the last three decades operating in the hospitality industry. Now, we are excited to partner with them looking to bring an IT Technician to their team in Charlottetown.
Reporting to the IT Manager, The IT Technician is responsible for responding to and resolving support requests from our clients. The IT Technician will be the main point of contact for all client issues, act as a first responder in all support situations and will coordinate with their colleagues in order to solve problems. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an actively growing organization.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Diploma in information technology or related experience
- Image, deploy, upgrade and refresh PC’s and manage assets
- Strong interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Monitor all support queues, act on problems and resolve client issues
- Identify and resolve IT related problems; maintain a sense of urgency and ownership while working to resolve calls
- Provide first response to users and respond to questions about functionality of existing business applications or network equipment
- Provide full onsite/desk side and remote support to end users for all their IT issues
- Manage supplier and third-party service provider on customers’ behalf
- Valid drivers license
- Travel to off island sites will be required
- Experience with ladders, drills and other tools to install cameras and various equipment would be considered an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in dealing with changing priorities and short deadlines
- Demonstrate sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English – Spoken and written (Bilingualism would be an asset)
The following IT experience would be considered an asset:
- Responding to helpdesk requests using a ticketing system, hardware/software support
- Office 365 administration and deployment
- Security camera configuration and maintenance
- Data backups
- On-site or over the phone technical assistance
