Job title: Level 3 IT Technician / System Admin

Job description: Alteo is looking for a Level 3 IT Technician / Systems Admin for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Responsibilities:

– Management of various physical and virtual servers (Hyper-V and VMware)
– Management of services: AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO, Print Server, File Server, Email ( Exchange 2013 On Premise)
– Order, install and configure users’ workstations (on site and remotely)
– Maintain and improve the various services within the environment
– Configure and optimize the network and security (switch, firewall (Sophos UTM), Barracuda Spam Filter)
– Manage the IP telephony of various companies (Digium Switchvox, Mitel)
– Maintain the ERP system (IBM AIX, Acclaim)

Profile:

– AEC/DEC in IT or equivalent
– 5+ years of experience in IT support
– Excellent customer service skills
– Good general IT knowledge: Windows environment, network, software, hardware, servers, security, ERP systems, telephony etc.
– Essential: Windows server 2003 to 2016
– Good knowledge of Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu) and willingness to learn
– Ability to program / write scripts (asset)
– Knowledge of SQL databases, Progress (asset)
– Autonomous and ability to work in a team
– Ability to diagnose problems and manage priorities
– Desire to learn new technologies
– Fluency in English (oral, written), functional French
