Sample Login (Customer Service)

As a Sample Support Technician, your responsibilities are:

• Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
• Prioritize jobs according to Rush and client specific deadlines.
• Sort and scan Environmental samples as per SOP.
• Homogenize soil samples for preparation of Inorganic analysis.
• Ensure that cross contamination/mislabelling between samples and other materials does not occur.
• Archive, dispose and retrieve samples.
• Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Follow SAIL and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Keep their work area clean, neat and organized.
• Provide support to other members of the section.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.

You are an ideal Sample Login if you have:

• Minimum high school education.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Need to perform repetitive physical work as required and according to deadlines established by the supervisor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good record keeping skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Comfortable working with a computer.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and tight timelines.
• Must be able to lift up to 40Lbs.

Working Conditions:

The Sample Support Technician will be working in the environmental line of business to provide support in regards to sample receiving distribution, and archiving functions. This is similar to a ‘general labour’ position in a fast-paced, production type of environment involving heavy lifting (up to 40lbs), repetitive tasks, and physical work.
