About the Opportunity

The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Planning Manager and is responsible to support the planning and delivery of supply and equipment at staging locations across the province to balance the use of the warehouse and satellite storage locations, receiving functions, coordination of assembly, quality control, documentation procedures, and final placement of goods, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (“FF&E”) at assigned site(s) across Nova Scotia meeting all storage requirements while managing costs and impacts to Nova Scotia Health (NSH) facilities. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible to monitor project plans and the status of incoming deliveries and intervening when necessary to ensure all possible actions are taken by both vendors and NSH to ensure on time delivery of goods and equipment in alignment with project schedules.

The Logistics Coordinator must be able to able to work independently in areas under construction with care and safety under project deadlines, and work with a high sense of urgency while following site health and safety policy and procedures. To support supply chain activities in this role, it requires communication with a variety of stakeholder groups and departments, including Nva Scotia Health Redevelopment, Nova Scotia’s provincial Government, vendors and consultants. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures and policies including construction safety measures. The Logistics Coordinator attends and participates in team meetings and ensures work duties and performance are aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, values and strategic directions. The Logistics Coordinator will be required to pass on-site construction safety training and performs other related duties as required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management required
  • 3 years of Supply Chain/ Logistics related experience required
  • Experience working within a computerized environment with good knowledge of Excel, SAP, and Client Management Databases
  • Experience working in a healthcare / construction setting preferred
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrate verbal, written, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel across Nova Scotia
  • The ability to travel to multiple Nova Scotia Health facilities throughout the province for Supply Chain related responsibilities

Hours

  • Long Assignment Full-time (100%) position, 70 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Beginning as soon as possible, with an expected end date of February 26, 2028.

Compensation and Incentives

$30.30 – $36.79 Hourly
