Shifts: Day shift Mon-Fri, with some weekend availability required when projects are needed. This role will run a team of size 10-12 front-line hourly trades people (electrician and mechanics) who run in 3 shifts 24/7. The availability to answer emergency calls is important.

Education:

PLC Certification & Electrical ticket is an asset.

Experience:

Strong track record of safety, this team has had 4 years of no lost time.

Previous maintenance management in a food manufacturing plant is a must.

Experience in a leadership role in a unionized environment.

Management in beverage and food packaging experience is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

Fully computer literate.

Excellent knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing plant equipment.

Strong planning, analytical, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead meetings with hourly employees.

Excellent leadership skills.

Knowledge of all Labour and Health & Safety Regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Apply theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of operations, repair procedures, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to support facility equipment reliability.

Oversee and maintain support equipment including air compressors, water treatment, refrigeration, hydraulics, electrical, boilers and sanitation.

Oversee and maintain building infrastructure including welding and fabrication, concrete/asphalt and roofs.

Oversee and maintain the production line (filling, coding and conveying).

Set front-line performance standards providing coaching and feedback to build capability and improve performance.

Lead TPM implementation of PM Phase 1 pillar assigned such as work order management, BDA, or spare parts management.
