About the Company
Our client is a large privately owned company in North America looking to hire an IT Manager
About the Opportunity
This role will be responsible for managing a team that supports Systems and Networks (Windows server, Azure services, SAN, VMware, switches/routers/firewalls/wireless)
We are looking for a Manager who is or used to be hands-on and can still work with technical teams, and on rare occasions be hands-on with infrastructure
This role will be mostly hands-off managing and developing the team, continuously improving team culture and operational effectiveness
Also working on processes, managing vendors, managing budgets, etc. Any experience with Fortinet is a bonus as they are rolling out across the org.
About You
Strong history of hands-on positions managing Windows servers / VMWare vSphere/ SAN in large environments
Cloud (AWS and/or Azure, O365) management experience
Strong networking experience (Cisco, Fortinet, etc)
Preferably someone coming from larger multi-location environments (eg 500+ users)
Few years of formal team leadership/management
Ability to commute to Mississauga office 2 days per week
Great communication and presentation skills
