What will your typical day look like?

As a Manager, SAP IT & Specialized Assurance, you can expect to have a dynamic and exciting career that is full of challenges and opportunities to grow. Every day is different, and you will be constantly delivering value to clients and expanding your skillset.

You will be primarily involved in the planning and delivery of IT audits of SAP, including but not limited to SAP ECC and S/4 HANA. IT audits of SAP include Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) testing, SAP IT Automated Controls (ITACs) testing, and SAP conversations/transformations.

As a member of the IT Specialized Assurance service offering, you may also be involved in the following:

  • SAP ECC and S/4 HANA IT Internal Audit – For an organization’s SAP IT controls, provide value-added, relevant analyses and recommendations of their design and operating effectiveness.
  • Advisory projects in the areas of Internal Controls Certification for Canadian and US listed companies using SAP as one of their main financial reporting systems;
  • Service Organization Controls Audit (“SOC” reports, including SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports);
  • Projects in the SAP security space;
  • Projects involving testing of SAP automated process controls and key reports.

You will:

  • Lead and manage SAP audit engagements for clients in various industries, ensuring compliance with global standards and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clients’ SAP systems, identifying risks and providing recommendations to improve controls and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and regulations in SAP auditing, and effectively communicate changes to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

About the team

We help organizations transform the ways they leverage people, third-party relationships, technology, data, business processes and controls to manage operational and financial risks and elevate business performance. We deliver risk and control services related to IT, entity level, and business process controls and help organizations address regulatory and marketplace demand to manage third-party risk through our third-party assurance and third-party optimization services.

Our work helps elevate trust, integrity and confidence in Canadian organizations by assuring and advising on IT and emerging technology risks to help our clients achieve regulatory, internal and extended enterprise requirements and maximize their impact.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who has/someone who is:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant SAP basis/audit work experience. Strong understanding of SAP modules, controls, and security frameworks.
  • The ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A university degree in a computer science, business or accounting discipline with excellent grades.
  • A professional designation or willingness to obtain one is preferred (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CPA or CIA).
  • A strong innovative and critical thinker, with the drive and commitment to stay up to date on current technology, as well as industry best practices and procedures.
  • Big 4 or other firm experience is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.
