Job description: Janssen Inc. is recruiting for a Medical Education Data Analyst, located in Toronto, ON, Canada. The Medical Education Data Analyst will provide critical operational support to the Medical Education organization in support of the organizational data and analytics strategy. This position will undertake analysis and integration of datasets across Janssen to generate novel business insights and enable decision-making for the Medical Education function, as well as development and implementation of new dashboards, reporting capabilities, and tools through the application of innovative technology solutions to Medical Affairs business processes. The Medical Education Data Analyst will also be responsible for daily operational activities consisting of end-user support with tools, dashboards and reporting, training, administering user access, issue troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation. In addition, this position will closely collaborate with Global IT teams to manage migration of pilot dashboards and reporting solutions into production for ongoing support and maintenance, ensuring proper and compliant handoff, documentation, and knowledge transfer. Finally, The Medical Education Data Analyst will serve as a central point of contact between Medical Education organization stakeholders and Global IT teams for any business requests for dashboard/reporting adjustments or enhancements, as well as developing new reporting capabilities, following the established ticketing and development process. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a Qualtrics SME, supporting Medical Education with the end-to-end process for developing medical event-related surveys, troubleshooting technical issues and user inquiries, and preparing evaluations data for processing and reporting Manipulate, analyze, and interpret a variety of data sets to derive insights in support of Medical Education and cross-enterprise initiatives Collaborate with Medical Education, HECA, MAST and Global IT on systems enhancements related to medical events management Maintain and generate reports for Medical Education as per schedule and on-demand using Dataiku, Excel, QlikSense and PowerPoint Partner with Medical Education to identify opportunities to refine/enhance existing reporting and implement new standard reporting for the Medical Education organization to support medical and cross-enterprise processes Identify new opportunities to leverage data and to integrate data or applications to enhance business value Work with business stakeholders to understand user requirements for data use, analysis, and quality Manage requirements refinement, analysis, and documentation processes to capture business and end-user needs Evaluate business requirements from end-users and translate them into user stories to create dashboards and reports, assisting business with strategic decision making When needed, collaborate with Global IT to develop and implement new reporting capabilities (e.g. NPrinting) Oversee QA testing and utilization, perform and facilitate dashboard and reporting tools User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and prepare the reports for migration to production Provide operational support, lead issue investigation, escalation, and resolution follow-through and communication related to Medical Education reporting assets, such as QlikSense dashboards Serve as a liaison between the medical organization and Global IT for existing dashboard adjustments and enhancements, ensuring proper ticket submission, issue oversight and resolution Perform systems administration activities related to user access management for reporting and analytics solutions for the Medical Education organization Develop reporting and dashboard user guides, training, and support resources for medical end-users Proactively monitor industry, functional, and technology trends and identify, recommend and implement new approaches to data analysis and insight generation in an effort to transform the organizations insight solutions and capabilities Support the data and analytics needs for the Medical Affairs digital platform Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Management or related field Experience and Skills: Required: 3-5 years of relevant reporting and data analysis experience successfully developing and utilizing reporting in QlikSense, PowerBI or Tableau, and delivering insights to the business Proven ability to design and interpret strategic metrics and scorecards Demonstrated understanding of information systems, reporting tools and solutions, and related software and data management activities, enterprise content management, and record-keeping policies and practices in a complex organizational environment Solid understanding and practical experience with data extraction, blending and transformation tasks using tools like Alteryx, Dataiku, SQL or equivalent Strong technical acumen Understanding of technology platforms and tools: QlikSense, Dataiku, Veeva CRM / Salesforce.com Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a team dynamic, as well as work independently Strong communication skills (verbal, written) Superior attention to accuracy and detail with minimal management oversight Ability to meet tight deadlines for projects and operational support requests Preferred: Experience in facilitating end-user support, training, learning and development activities related to solutions launch and systems changes is an asset Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and medical organization is a plus At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
