The successful candidate will be an academically oriented pediatric neurologist with specialty training in Pediatric Neurology and Paediatric Movement Disorders and have completed a Movement Disorders Fellowship. Specific expertise in deep brain stimulation and the neurogenetics of movement disorders are assets.Clinical duties will include the care of children admitted to the general neurology service, inpatient consultations for neurology, movement disorders, and ambulatory clinics in these areas and participation in neurology after-hours/weekend on-call service. Education and supervision of residents and other learners in clinical neurology, movement disorders will be integrated into these duties. Applicants with an established research program will be supported to further develop their program. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($210,000-$250,000 per annum) will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or the equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
