Role: Part-time Accountant Position
Pay: $35 – $40/hr
Hours: Mon-Wed 10am – 3pm
Location: Scarborough, ON
About the role:
Our client is seeking a part-time accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for administration and oversight of all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers and payroll. Additional responsibilities include interactions with outside auditors, Revenue Canada and compliance requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Cash Management
Weekly
Daily Attendance Monitoring and recording vacation and sick time
Bi-weekly Payroll using ADP online software including preparation of ROE’s, T4’s
taxable benefits for group benefits and company car benefit.
G/L allocation of all vendor invoices
Review all UPS Invoices for correct freight charge to customers as well as line haul and application of NAFTA for duty.
MONTHLY
Accounts Payable
HST and WSIB calculations and payments
Corporate Tax Installments as applicable Review and approval of overseas wire payments
Petty Cash Reimbursement
Expense allocation of credit card payments ensuring all invoices are attached.
Accounts Receivable
Monitor Accounts receivable balances.
Monitor Bad Debts
Reconcile sub-ledgers
Customer credit approvals, terms etc.
Customer credit HOLDS and releases
Dealing with collection agencies as required.
Accounting
Bank Reconciliations
Paypal reconciliations and cash transfer
General Journal Entries
Monthly Rent and Expense invoice to Foxy Originals Inc. (Associated Company)
Monthly Utility Invoice to Sylvester Construction- California tenant
Intercompany expense charges
Reconcile Intercompany accounts
Monthly Financial Statements and Account analysis
Scanning of Bank Statements, payroll Reports etc.
Monitor payments from California Bank Account
Expense allocation of payments from California Bank account
Record rent payments from California tenants.
