Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.

Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions (up to 15 hours per week) until April 30, 2024 and are located at the Oxford Street Campus, 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd., London, Ontario.

Duties: The successful candidate will collaborate with Fanshawe’s Centre for Academic Excellence to develop the assigned course(s) for a new program: Occupational Health and Safety Management. The program is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate to be offered on-campus in London. Curriculum developers will ensure curriculum is aligned with the six competency domains of the Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification offered by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP): Hazards and Risks: Identification and Assessment; Hazard and Risks: Controls and Mitigation; Health and Safety Management; Ethics, Professional Role and Function; Technical, Human and Social Sciences; and Management Sciences.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend curriculum development workshops
  • Develop course learning outcomes, lesson plans and course evaluations using Fanshawe College processes and templates
  • Align curriculum with CRSP competencies and established program vocational learning outcomes
  • Identify required student and course resources

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant post-secondary credential
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in an occupational health and safety setting
  • Expertise in one or more of the Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) competency domains
  • CRSP certification an asset
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is an asset
  • Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) is an asset
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is an asset
  • Curriculum development and clinical/online teaching experience are assets, although no prior curriculum development experience is required as Fanshawe will provide support and training for successful candidates
