About our Client
Our client, a family-owned and operated seafood processing warehouse is looking for an Accounting/Payroll Assistant to become a part of their team on a part-time temporary basis for Wednesdays and Thursdays. This position is located in Delta, and the successful candidate will be a strong team player, possess effective communication skills, be detail-oriented, be able to utilize analytical capabilities and function well within a progressive accounting environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with direct deposit setup
- Data entry
- Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare documents
- File and retrieve documents and reference materials for the payroll department
- Assist the Payroll/Data Operations Department as needed with sorting/batching of payroll utilizing Adobe Acrobat Pro, alphabetizing, separating, and merging documents in Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Assist with packaging payroll
- Work with Payroll Coordinators as needed
- Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Managers/Supervisors, Payroll Operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience in an administrative, clerical, or sales assistant position preferred
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
- Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to compose clear and concise grammatically correct letters, memos, proposals, etc.
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Self-motivated and can work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
