Job title: Project Manager – Construction
Job description: We are looking for a project manager for a construction company located in eastern Montreal who is known for its respect for its employees.
You will be in charge of coordinating the smooth running of the construction sites while ensuring compliance with the negotiated plans and deadlines.
Main tasks:
- Support superintendents for quick and efficient troubleshooting and maintain a positive work climate.
- Evaluate the feasibility of a project, prepare a budget and propose it for submission.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors in connection with the target budget.
- Identify subcontractors as needed.
- Prepare draft contracts and deliver them to the estimator or assistant for signature follow-up.
- Approve or coordinate the approval of workshop drawings.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Degree in architecture or construction engineering or any other relevant training;
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management;
- Excellent fluency in French and very functional English;
- Strong negotiation, management, problem-solving and communication skills;
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and leadership;
- Dynamic, versatile and very well organized.
