As our new Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of projects on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards. Your role will encompass project planning and execution, estimating, sales, contract administration, safety, and leadership and mentoring.
If you were working for us, here are some of the things you would have done last week:
- Organized and scheduled labour, equipment, and subcontractors for different projects
- Used our CRM and project management software to organize projects, tasks, and construction schedules
- Visited job sites 1-2 times for client walk-throughs, directed work on site, and ensured quality and safety standards were being met by staff
- Built detailed estimates and work descriptions in collaboration with the design and sales team
- Present proposals to clients and make sales in collaboration with designers
- Maintained written correspondence with clients and managed customer satisfaction
- Managed change orders
- Collaborate with administration on progress and completion of invoices and payments
- Completed project punch lists and conducted job closeouts
- Worked with the Construction Manager and Human Resources to hire and onboard new staff
- Provided mentorship and leadership to your direct reports

The Details
This is a full-time permanent job, working mainly in Owen Sound, Ontario. When you’re not in the office, you’ll travel to job sites in the surrounding areas.
We recognize that our ideal candidate may come from outside the area, so relocation assistance is available. Qualifications
We are considering candidates from a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. Ideally, here’s what we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of landscape construction experience
- Project management experience OR a formal educational background in horticulture, landscape architecture, construction technology, construction/project management, or similar
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn new software and programs quickly
- Valid driver’s license
And if you have the following it would be a bonus:
- Experience with Landscape Management Network
- Experience using any CRM
- Experience estimating landscape construction (or similar) projects
- Sales training
