In this role, you will:
- Recognize, assess and organize First Level Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) records from Production work, for internal processing and distribution
- Handle revision control and documentation control of drawing and record revisions and distribution of same to stakeholders
- Utilize knowledge of the physical systems on the vessels and where they interface in order to digitize, index, upload and link First Level OQE Records to the appropriate repository and to the Enterprise Resource Planning tool (ERP)
- Assist the Live File Analyst and Manager to respond to Quality Assurance Live File requests in support of Repair & Overhaul and Disposal activities (requires a basic understanding of submarine systems and the interdependencies within Live File documents and drawings)
- Manage the hard copy and digital files for the west coast submarine Live Files and Quality Document Holding Files
- Assist with other Configuration/Material Certification tasks as required
- Provide assistance to Technical Quality Analysts in management of maintenance and repair job folders
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Support internal and customer requests for retrieval of OQE
The ideal candidate brings:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience dealing with technical documentation, preferably with Department of National Defence (DND) materiel and goods, or equivalent
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe Pro)
- Knowledge of submarines and Material Certification would be an asset
- Ability to deal with various levels of stakeholders and liaise between groups
- Working knowledge of DND’s DRMIS system (SAP-based ERP)
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Eligibility for Canadian NATO Secret Security, Canadian Controlled Goods (CCG) and ITAR Clearances
- Able to work under minimal supervision and readily shift priorities in a complex environment
