Job description: The Role…

The Reception Manager is responsible for supporting, providing direction and leadership to the reception team. A successful Reception Manager will be a proactive and resourceful team player who has a good understanding and knowledge of the House, the Company and local community.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to departmental goals, related to payroll, expenses, staffing levels and guest service
  • Responsible for monitoring and supporting daily operations, greet members/guests on arrival
  • Supervise, direct, coordinate, influence and persuade staff in order to maintain service standards set forth by Soho House
  • Participate in identifying talent gaps, interviewing, and hiring staff as well as hosting staff meetings and trainings.
  • Develop and grow staff skills as well as provide counseling and discipline when applicable.
  • Communicate daily events, guest lists, VIP’s, reservations
  • Deliver the highest standards of customer service and process, naturally hospitable
  • Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality.
  • Respond to requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience.
  • Communicate within department as well as other departments on crucial matters
  • To ensure the company culture is visible in all aspects of the business.
  • Resolve customer complaints, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working in a similar industry or capacity and
  • 1+ year of Supervisor/Manager experience
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills, OpenTable, Salesforce, Google, MS Office experience preferred
  • Customer services oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hospitality education preferred but not required
  • Flexible schedule, evenings, weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, push, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
