About Our Client
Our client, located in Toronto, is an exciting & dynamic event management company and looking for a Recruitment & Operations Manager (24-month fixed term contract) to join their team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this dynamic & fast-paced role will be responsible for a diverse range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Supporting internal teams with comprehensive and creative recruitment strategies, with a specific focus on large-scale event recruitment
- Collaborate with Head of Operations and external stakeholders on staffing requirements to successfully meet event objectives
- Utilize a variety of recruitment channels across North America to source Talent
- Oversee logistics of recruitment process to ensure headcount & hiring are on track and on time
- Support with designing & implementing specialized onboarding programs to ensure smooth and enjoyable candidate experience
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide specialized training & resources
- Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to understand staffing needs and to ensure all objectives are being successfully met
- Managing recruitment & onboarding processes in compliance with relevant labour laws, regulations, and project-specific requirements
- Manage accurate & up-to-date documentation related to recruitment activities
- Support with performance management and metrics to evaluate the success of strategies, and providing recommendations as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 yearsâexperience in high-volume recruitment, specifically within large-scale events would be strongly preferred
- Must have a strong passion for sports, media & entertainment
- Experience hiring across North America considered an asset
- Previous experience demonstrating the need for strong organizational and project management skills
- Clear & proactive communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse & cross-functional teams, as well as, internal & external stakeholders
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of event staffing, and very comfortable in fast-paced & demanding work environments
- Post Secondary Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience required
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Smartsheet is an asset
